I started treating photography as a serious pastime one day in the spring of 2017. Back then, I was watching a lot of landscape photography VLOGs and had convinced myself to spend more time in nature and away from my computer. So I grabbed my camera and headed out to photograph the sunset at Grüner See.
From an early age, I have spent a lot of time outdoors. Hiking and skiing in the Austrian Alps were a big part of my summer and winter holidays growing up. I also had a huge fascination with technology as a kid and loved to fiddle around with gadgets, including cameras.
After rediscovering my passion for the outdoors through the viewfinder, landscape photography quickly took over most of my pastimes. Since then, I had the opportunity to capture some truly magical moments in nature.
About a year ago, I decided to take pictures in the streets of Vienna as well. What started as a fun challenge to get me out of my comfort zone quickly became a more serious creative endeavor. Nowadays I spend my morning commute doing street photography on the side.
Years after taking my first “serious” picture I still couldn’t tell you exactly why I decided to be a photographer. To be honest, I never felt like much of a creative person before starting my journey.
What I do know now, is that I seem to have an inherent urge to capture moments with my camera that feel special to me. Some of those can be found in the portfolio section of this website. Go have a look!
